it was only the 20b's that had the series numbers on them.
as for the R is there any where on the rotor housings that have a F
R = rear and the F= front

The serial # on the front cover of the Blown 13BRE engine in my car that has the areas needed to drill and tap for the FD mounts and front cover is:
E097864
This engine has a "R" stamp on the front rotor housing and I could not see the rear housing, I know this stands for "Rear" but because it is on the front housing does this mean that it has been rebuilt with a "Rear" housing on the front?
The serial # on the front cover of the replacement 13BRE engine that DOES NOT have the metal material needed for me to drill and tap for the FD mounts and front cover is:
E064905
This engine has a "R" stamp on the front AND rear rotor housing, does this also mean that it has been rebuilt because the "Rear" housing is on the front?
Thanks,
Jeremy

no, just what you see in the third picture above, only an "R" on each.... I know that F=front C=center and R=rear but does that mean that i have 2 rear rotors on both engines? on the 13BRE could it be possible that there is no differences in the housings so they just use "R" housings for it?

but you got a 13BREW engine, both of my 13BRE engines have "R" (rear rotor housings) on the front and rear when i got them from the importer..... hmmmm does all 13BRE engines use the same porting and specs so they just use the "R" for both when they build them?
