Anyone ever looked into doing a corvette-type transaxle so that there's more room for installing a longer engine?

The biggest problem I'd see with that would be the room avaliable in the differential's stock location. I don't know about FC's, but getting something that large to fit there in an FD would likely require the removal of the fuel tank and some serious cutting and welding. I'd rather just cut the fire wall, move the engine / tranny back 6 - 8 inches and get a custom driveshaft.

Why don't you try it for us and report back your findings?

For a 4 rotor, that would actually be a very good idea to rebalance the weight.

I was wondering about that... thought you'd be home by now... funny thing is, it's going to be 50 something here on Sunday, which is the highest this year... and in the Carolinas they have snow...

I swear to god I'm never flying again. At this point the problem isn't the weather, but its the fallout from all the cancellations that it origionally caused. EVERYONE who had a flight over the past few days seems to be trying to go the same place at the same time right now.
