this is a local guy that I bought the transmission he is runnin in this video,
the box has around 100 passes with lot's of 1.4 60ft and 700+ rw torque
on a 4000+ pound car,
it was the early camaro ss with weak shaft, it was still runing strong but got
recalled and rebuild with the stronger shaft couple hundred miles before it
was pulled for automatic with lsx build,
I ended up with a fresh rebuild box,
the only problem I have is the kit that I have is for the t56 box that has a plate
inbetwean the bell housing and the box,
not sure if I can make t56 plate fit on a t6060,
by the way I will check with a local shop if they can duplicate the adapter plate for the
auto fd bell for anyone that may be interested

Personally, I want JUST the adapter plate and any machining that needs to be done to the auto bellhousing to make the tranny and engine bolt together.
If that were offered to me, at a reasonable price, I'd be a customer that same day.
At the same time, if a kit that was as "bolt-on" as the one that chips motorsports were offered for a more attractive price, I'd definitely consider it.
IMO, with the wide variety of mounting techniques with 20B swaps, tranny braces really don't make sense for a "consumer kit".
Please, someone, anyone, help!

bewtew, can you please describe what the kit would consist of and what the pricepoint would be?
All, for what it's worth, Chip said that he'd be willing to offer up a run of his kits for $3K as long as 3 (maybe more ?) people committed and provide their own bellhousing and starter.
Now, I've asked for some clarification, but if it includes everything listed as part of his other kit, that constitutes a pretty killer deal. I'd encourage anyone to look up the price of just the parts included (flywheel, clutch, hydro bearing, post, etc). I'll keep everyone posted with any details I get.
Like I said earlier, anyone who can offer me a product will find themselves a customer, so for the time being, add me to any list pending details on what a given "kit" includes and for what size pile of coin.
I'm pretty sure that to_slow is all set up, so here's the current list:

i have 1000 miles on my T56 setup and am happy to report it works perfectly. FWIW i am really liking the trans swap. love the clutch.
the adapter is available and can ship within a week approx.
it does not have locating pins so you need to indicate CL using a magnetic dial indicator that you position on the input shaft. it is a fun 30 minute process and is easy to do.
the adapter is mild steel, has lots of tapped bolt holes and is 3/8 thick to increase input shaft penetration into the pilot bearing. (you also should machine a quarter inch of the back of the bellhousing for the same reason.)
$300 plus shipping.

T56 magnum
I am currently working in a prototype t56 magnum kit for the fd 2 rotor or 3 rotor. Brand new transmission capable of holding 700 torque from factory also have a upgraded version to withstand 1000hp, SFI certify bellhousing (no need for the auto bellhousing and automatic starter or adapter plate) it uses the manual starter, and several different clutch configurations 1 disk 2 disk and 3 disk with drive shaft in many configurations with everything to just bolt on the transmission to a FD. My prototype is on the way if anybody is interested let me know we can do a group buy. I will post pics with transmission and bellhousing are in next week.

I like the idea of a custom housing with no adapter, but I felt that use of the auto starter was a benefit in moving the engine back to prevent contact with the trans tunnel. i'll be checking your other thread, but would like to see more pics and details of the install, engine/trans placement, clearances etc.
Looks good.

Howard will the adatper plate that you offer adapt the auto bell housing to a magnum
T56? The reason I ask is the that the section of the transmission that the adapter plate bolts to looks different than the f body and gto plates. here are some pics descrbing what I mean.
