They are really small and incredibly heavy. One turbo is small, and the other is smaller. If you ask me, the small one looks like an FD turbo, and the smaller one is, er, smaller. I don't know much about FD's, though, so I could be wrong. There is a turbo comparison picture at the bottom of this web page:

I asked my brother this as he has had numerous FD turbos outof cars at his work and a few 20B's sitting on the floor including ours.
he said one turbo is about the size of a 2nd Gen (in your language) turbo, the other is the same as an FD turbo, the seconadry one I think he said.

what kind of turbos do you have on your 20b? we are gonna build one and we are still not sure what turbos to use... we are thinking of twin 3037's though.... if someone can get hold on the exhaust manifold to support them..

if you want please give me some info on your 20b project

I have a single T-66 on mine, which is intended for street use and speedway racing. My engine has stock internals, will run about 1.2 bar of boost, and the redline is going to be kept in the 7000-7500rpm range. I plan on adding a street port later, but this engine will remain a mid-boost, low-rpm engine.

I don't consider any turbos unless I can see the compressor map. According to the street squirrels, those twin 3037's should be good for 900-1000bhp. If you are looking at that much horsepower and money, then you can probably do a lot better than asking me about such matters. However, I will be happy to try to answer any questions that you have about my project. You can send me PM if you like, or just start another thread with questions so that others can also reply and debate.

I looked at mine this weekend. The FC 13BT turbo is definitely larger than the large 20B turbo, and you can even see this in the picture on my previous post. As for scales, the FC 13BT turbo is about as much larger than the large 20B turbo, as the large 20B turbo is larger than the small 20B turbo. I don't have any FD turbos to compare with, though.

I *know* the FC turbo is a Hitachi HT-18.
I think the FD twins are Hitachi HT-12's.
I think the Cosmo 20B (13B same?) twins are staggered Hitachi HT-10 and HT-15.

The numbers are relative to each other, so the large Cosmo is bigger than the FD but smaller than the FC.

Australia, Japan, or Mazdacomp.

Pettit will also do them and upgrade both turbos to the Hitachi HT-18 for $1800. Lots of money.. but an option

From memory of a very informative, ex-site in australia, the big end was the HT15, initially fed by exh from all 3 rotors. The secondary turbo was HT12 (makes sense, same size as FD stock).

I wonder what twin HT-18's on it would be like. Would be pretty cheap option (for the do-it-yourselfer) compared to those big buck turbo kits.

this could be a good alternative to expensive new ones or rebuilt ones. also there might be a few sitting around from the FC forum that could be had real cheap.

I've seen someone say that the 13B-RE (two rotor cosmo) had two HT-10's.

And a question, would these turbos (HT series) interchange with each other, onto a different sized HT's manifold

I was told that the stock turbos on mine are an HT-12 (same as FD) and an HT-10.
