Ellamoto 20B FD project starting
Hi There people!,
I like to start a project topic of my FD3S.
Im planning on asking all my questions and sharing the build gradually in this topic.
Lets take a look
The car:
I have bought the car as an rolling shell.
No engine no tranny,no fenders,no front bumper and without hood.
And here is the engine, still in the cosmo frontcut here.
Some weeks later i took it out
And thats where i am right now
For now i making up my mind on what subframe im going to use.
I came across 2 subframe's so far that i found appropriate.
One is from hilson supercars:
This design will allow me to use the existing transmission brace and power plant frame. As far as they say there is no modification needed
to the rest of the car or driveline but im planning on going with a t56 transmission so thats no longer an issue i guess
because the lineup will be different anyhow ''correct me if im wrong about this''.
And i think i have to cut the LIM in combination with this subframe.
The other one is from defined autoworks
For this kit difined autoworks require three parts to be sent in for modification: The Stock 20b oil pan, the Rx7 Power steering bracket, and the Rx7 steering rack.
Here they going to cut the oil pan i have separate thoughts about this.
And this is some relocator kit i guess? that comes with the kit.
i´d like to hear what your idea´s are about these products and which one you recommend.

The hinson frame is very flimsy. I would say go for Pettit or Rx7Specialties in canada. If you are ok with modifying your intake manifold go for the defined auto. They do top notch work as well.

Episode: 2 Februari 2012
A quick vieuw on the damage at home
With that in mind, on to the boat.
Land Ahoy: arrived at England.
After i reached surface the journey went on to Londen.
It took a while before i get used to drive the ''other'' side of the road.
A Couple hours later i arrived @ Omar of rx-spares:
After a short welcome and a cup of thee we went to work.
Behind his house was an fd waiting for me to become the donor for my car
after a while:
Removed the front window/fenders.
Cut out the side panel.
When we where done my Civic was loaded so mutch with parts that i could barely close its doors.
