Lookin' good chris. I have heard that Hans really knows his shiz, so I'm sure you'll be very happy with your Pectel. Oh, and Mr. Ihor "The Ukrainian Love Bandit" Huk also received that exact battery for his Crustank, I believe it weighs 23 pounds.

I also have a 1.15 but I went ahead and removed the divider. I also used Iconel to build my header. Here are some pics of the header off the car waiting to be shipped the HPC to be termal coated along with the downpipe, wastegate and exhaust housing. Sorry about the quality pics where taken with my cell

Cmonkey, you should post all your pics that you have for this project so everyone can follow along with your progress.... Looks like its really turned the corner, I know you cant wait to street tune this thing on the highway.

I took the motor to Mandeville's place yesterday to have him replace the 20b front pulley hub with an FD unit that aligns the timing wheel more precisely using cotter pins.
They are in the process of setting up a new engine dyno room.
That level of isolation would probably make me way too confident in pushing the envelope. It certainly would be a lot safer than doing 4th gear WOT pulls on the highway though:p .

Here are some pictures of the work in progress. The entire chassis was stripped down to the bare metal.
The front bumper that had a $500 paint job by the pervious owner and was never installed being stripped :p

Firewall primed. They added seam sealer to the welds to make it look more OEM-like. Note, it was not necessary to keep the elements out since the entire firewall was seam welded
Starting to take shape.
I had the stone guard removed. I am very happy with how it looks. Hopefully it doesn't get beat to hell without it.
Here is a shot of the trunk lid which was subsequently redone due to a blemish.
I'm happy to report that my car has less orange peel than the factory finish on this car
They have to do another level of polishing, clean and wax it and then they want me to give it a final inspection. Hopefully it will be out of there by next weekend.

[QUOTE=I think it would go a long way like this if you use the car for street use and don't drag it like most of you guys in the US. Mostly gearboxes break first and second gear and they hold quite well from 3rd on[/QUOTE]
Actually 3rd and 4th gear are the weakest. You can break those just rolling into gear with a lot of torque especially below 5k rpm. Happens a lot with high powered 13b's not to mention a 3 rotor.
I have broken a couple of transmissions just doing pulls on the dyno. The minute boost hits tranny goes.

While the car was at one of the many fabrication shops someone damaged 2 of the 3 oil metering pump lines. Fortunately I had an extra pump with lines. Unfortunately I broke one of the three lines on the extra pump at the very last step of the installation .
Fortunately (for a second time) Racer X-8 wrote up a great line replacement procedure

I ordered the parts a little while ago using the part numbers listed in the thread from Jegs. Hopefully I will get them in time to replace everything this weekend.

If you wanted to build it with cryo'ed parts, best to start with brand new internals. The owner at www.cryoscience.com told me the metal will take to the cryoing much better if it is brand new and not used/heat cycled.

Automotive International called today-the paint job is done at last! I got a quick look at it after work, but it wasn't enough light to really inspect it, so I am going back tomorrow to check it over before signing off. What I did see looked really damn impressive. The depth and uniformity of the surface is almost supernatural :p. They showed me the work file for it. It took over 200hrs of labor to complete. Bear in mind the car was delivered to them as a stripped shell. I'll post some pictures tomorrow.
Meanwhile back at the garage, my modified lower intake manifold is coming along. I have removed everything related to the emissions equipment, and had the EGR holes sealed up. I also removed the vacuum line assembly on the other side of it. Every gram counts. The only thing left to do is clean up the rough edges and polish it. It is proving to be a royal PITA because most of the surface area cannot be sanded with a power tool.

Did you modify it, or did it come like that?? I had 3 of them (1 D-series, 1 from Mazdacomp around 2001 and 1 unknown) and they all looked like the stock one in the picture above.

Different tranny period. Even if you replace the gears, the case itself twists.
