I'm running a ORC Triple plate clutch (Ogura Racing clutch) in my FD right now, it is a triple plate and has 1.1 metric tons of clamping force and is supposed to hold 1,000+ hp.. I've had it in the car and I daily drive it in traffice all the time with no problem... I would also suggest the GURU dog mission sold here http://www.gurumotorsports.com/ since it is a direct fit, strait cut gears and has no sycro's to break. I currently have a OS Geiken Cross mission kit in my car that comes with a beefed up input shaft and 1-3 gear set. The only thing I'm afraid of is that the output shaft is still stock, so I'm hoping that the 4.7 RE Amemia final gear will reduce engough stress to not twist it off.. This is of course onece the 20B is in the car here in a few weeks..

Stock as in the Fd heavy flywheel? I was told by a forum member that flywheel wouldn't work. I don't know why! By the way, is your car running?

Ok guys I'm a little late with this information but here it is anyway. I April I went to the SEMA International Auto show in Los Angeles. I talked the U.S. distributor of O.S. Giken a Japanese transimission manufacture. They have two base transimissions for the FC and the FD each of which can handle up to 600hp.
This first has a 3 gear set, meaning the first 3 gears have a closer ratio than stock. It retails for $2000. This is probably great for a street application.
This second has a 5 gear set with all 5 gears having a closer ratio than stock. It retails for $2450. I can only guess that is would be better for some type of racing.
There are other gears options available but that just the general information. If you want to contact the distributor for information packet here's their information.

Is the 20b counter balancer the one on the back or the one in the front cover? So all I would have to do is bolt on one of those light weight flywheels?

I have the full OS cross mission, it still uses the stock output shaft and it doesn't actually come with all 5 gear sets, but it does have a beefed up input shaft and does change the gear ratio's in 1-3 and 5th, 4th is still direct drive 1:1 ratio... it also still uses the stock sycro's and shift linkage ( the 2 things I continue to break )

You can run the stock FC flywheel or upgraded version (lightweight steel/aluminum/chromoly) but you have to use the 20B counterweight. Don't know if that helps with the FD issue except switching and possibly using an FC one?
