Engines putting out 180 odd rwhp over here in a full weight first gen are running high 12/low 13 sec 1/4s

These are your simple 4k (AUD) 13B Bridge port engines

I estimated the power output to be 230 to 250.
We would've went higher, except we found out the damn air filter was too damn small - the AFR's jumped up one full point when we removed the air filter.
Oh well, we ran out of time.

There is NO 2-rotor that'll make close to 200 lb-ft of torque, period with similar mods.
If hp #'s are all that you are looking at, then it would stand to reason you are disappointed.

I have never seen one - stock internal block, stock intake.
I've only heard of Kahren's build which uses a custom intake to hit over 190 at the wheels.

I dunno why you're so hung up on horsepower.
It's the torque that makes this motor unique.

Ted.. only reason I am looking for a peak HP number, is because Im trying to compare it to my 13B-REW. I realize comparing a FI engine to a N/A one isnt quite the same, especially when the 20Bs you guys are running are set up with compression and intakes designed for boost.. BUT, the reason for the comparison is that I would like to take on the N/A 20B project to replace my FD engine (which is running fine), but I would hate to take on such a project and end up with a car that didnt perform at least a bit better than a bolt-on FD. Especially when the boosted potential of the 20B is so much, I could just slap on a GT42R and be done with it.

Our 20B Race p-port with s5 rotors Made 480hp @9000rpm On Roger Mandevilles dyno. It still needs a final tune.

what do you guys think a 9.7:1 NA 20b would make streetported with the stock intake?

i have been planning on doing this in the near future, but if i cant make 300whp i'll probably not go to the trouble.

also, would i have to use timing split if i plan on keeping it NA?

Well if mine were run on a Dyno Jet (15% gain over DD) it would be making over 280 hp on 9.0 comp rotors.

Just go 20B, you won't look back, its not just the outright hp, its the drivability, torque, sound, just ***** all over a twin rotor.

I think some of you guys are forgetting about just how restrictive the stock intake is. It may be okay for forced induction, but it's horrible for an N/A setup. I think that's pretty clear, just by looking at the numbers of 20B's not using the stock intake setup. I think that if big power is your goal, you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you keep the stock intake.

480 hp, wow... got a video of it?

That sort of gain do you think high comp (9.7) rotors would make? in rwhp

That is a sweet video, and 480 at the motor like that is 408rwhp roughly to the wheels is badass. I like the super port idle, very all-bussiness of p-ports! Pure music.

damn you people.. i want an NA 3rotor... Anyone got any links on how to Get/mod them?

NA IMO is soooo much better to do than Turbo. gime a 20B NA with a Nice Streetport and some supporting mods, and id be the happiest guy who can say a turbo 13B or even a LS1 sounds as good as that PP'ed NA 20B(Nice btw)

It is a new world to do a n/a 3-rotor. Sure it may not have quite as much power as a 150 shot nitrous Ls-1, or as much as a 13B with 22lbs of boost. But you wont care at all once you fire it up for the very first time.

It isn't cheap, but it is worth it. I've been in a few big hp turbo 13bs and it just isn't the same as a 20B. For me, the car was going to be mostly street driven, turbo 20B was over the top, I like to be able to go take the car for a strap.

NA 20Bs sound awesome too, even an extend 20B will make more hp & much more torque than any big port 13B NA. When it comes to fuel consumption & drivability there is no comparison to a big port na twin rotor, having owned 13b bps for the last 8 years or so.

Power band.. well in mine you can take off in 3rd if you like, I normally take off in second, only using first for very steep hill starts (can still use second) or for tight parking.

NA Efi, you can use the same setup, just buy an aftermarket ecu like a Microtech LTX12

Well just took some videos of the car with the stock intake, probably the last video of this setup.

Diff is on the way out so had to take it pretty easy on gear changes, hope you enjoy!

I am using this host tempararily until my ftp gets sorted out, shouldn't be long
