Try a 3 rotor PPort turbo making well over 1000rwhp for around $75000.00 Hey when money is not an object you can do **** like that. Now buy that motor and put in your car.

$75,000? That hp can be made on side ports for par less than that. Lets try to keep the pricing info more realistic. MVA (the guy that originally built Red-Rx7's 20b) was capable of making that hp and his full conversion cost less than 40k. He just needed a larger turbo.

First off:

Second of all: most everything you mentioned in your mods list will not benifit the 20B or a 4 rotor for that matter. Try the regional section for someone that knows those microtecs like the back of their hand.

I dont believe the lt-12 will control anything bigger than a 3-rotor.

EDIT: after further research, it appears i am wrong haha. It will run a 4-rotor.

I do believe there is a guy in australia who will build a 4 rotor for 10k, I believe I saw the link on this boards, try searching for it. BTW with a 4 rotor turbo, your weight distribution will probably goto ****, your gonna have to cut out a shitload outa your firewall. Anyways goodluck!

Marcos Acosta built a 4 rotor. He is even in your area. I would suggest him as a tuner. I finally got my 3 rotor back from him and everything looks real sweet. He did mine the same way as Reds car. I will say he is not fast and expect alot of BS, but his product is nice.

Realistic. Hmmm. Try giving them a call and ask them for the same engine package that Siguel runs in the RX8 Major League that has gone 6.8's @ over 200mph. They are the ones that built the motor.

The difference here is the Siguel engine is making around 1,500 hp not 1000 which is what Acosta built Red-Rx7's 20b to handle. Plus the above engine isn't a 20b, it's a custom bulit 3 rotor with a custom multi piece e-shaft and special expensive coatings ect. Big difference. Custom means more expensive so I see where you are comming from. Red's factory 20b had the necessary fuel requirements and was properly built to handle the power. Just not enough turbo and correct fuel.

Wait something doesn't add up. You first talk of interest in building the project then in your 3rd post, you talk as if you already have the engine assembled and haven't driven it yet because it's not tuned? Got pics? Also you would be foolish to a run single walbro intank fuel pump and run Rx8 apex seals in an engine with PP exhaust. They won't work and it's been proven in the past. Show us what you really got otherwise the BS flags are gonna dominate this thread or it gets closed.

Stop looking at catalogs, save the $100k first, THEN ask us for advice.

I figured as much that this kid was bullshitting. First he states that money is not a thing and then when steered in the direction with an accurate money figure he comes back around and says he would rather do it himself and that was at $40,000.00 for an N/A motor. And I never stated that the motor from Kiwi only made 1000rwhp actual quote "Try a 3 rotor PPort turbo making well over 1000rwhp" And this kid never stated a 20B but just a 3 rotor or 4 rotor. Any which way until I see the pictures

yea...he's just bullshitting us. someone with that much money wouldnt need to come on here asking questions. And he gave himself away saying that he had this motor with RX8 2mm apex seals from mazdatrix? 1st off, you can get rx8 seals anywhere, secondly, as stated, you wouldnt be using these in a PP exhaust motor anyway. he's full of ****.

Dude look at your own quote. You didn't say anything about all this stuff being on a 13b that was already built. 1st off pay more attention to how you word your own post. The above is misleading cause you start a thread asking questions about 3 & 4 rotors. Secondly, why on earth did you build a PP exhaust rotary with the shorter Rx8 apex seals? As some people have already experimented, they weren't designed to handle the heat of the PP exhaust and they have warped. There is a reason why everyone who is running Rx8 rotors in the older PP exhaust engines are milling the apex seal grooves deeper to hold regular apex seals. Lastly, you didnt say anything about using Rx8 rotors with the Rx8 seals. So how did you get the shorter Rx8 apex seals to properly fit in the deeper grooves of the older rotors?
