20B Throttle body TPS connector

Does anyone know if this is the same connector as the FD TPS connector?

If not, does anyone have a 20B TPS connector for sale?

That's correct.
The TPS and connector are the same from an FD3S.

Ithought the 20b unit was different than the fd's. At the very least I believe they have a different pin layout based on a post I read on nopistons where the layout for each connector was listed.

Any idea where you saw that CMonakar?

The connector is different.. 20B and cosmo RE use the same TPS connector, FD3S is different

Hmmm...I must'be been smoking good **** back 6 years ago.
You're right - if that's the FD TPS plug, it's not going to fit.
I swear it was swappable. DOH

I think the FD TPS does bolt in though?

If you can't find the connector check out Toyota inline 6cyl's. Most of the Toyota's 6cyl's use the same connector for the TPS switch. The 1/2JZ's Toyota for example.

According to the parts manual , the part number is NF01-18-911 (parts catalog first series)
Try RHDJapan, they should be able to get it. Connector is different from FD.
Wires :
black-red: narrow range
brown-black: massa/ground
green-red:full range
brown-white : 5V

Also according to the wiring manual

Greetings,

Mireck

Mireck, can you confirm it on your car?
My findings were pretty much same, except narrow vs wide range switch.

1) brown/white - 5V
2) green/red - narrow range
3) brown/black - GND
4) black/red - wide range

I will see soon once i will wire it up to Haltech

As far as I can tell this is correct.

The part number listed above is for the TPS. Not the connector.

We have new connectors in stock. PM if interested.

This will be covered in my next project thread "The Connector Project" in the Second Gen Section once the 20b is up and running. The goal is to get part numbers for the housings, seals (if applicable) and pins on every single connector in a FC.

Dunno what the exact details are yet, but I do know is that the 20b TPS connector is made by Tyco Electronics and it's essentially a 4-pin version of the S4's injector connectors. Seems like a lot of Japanese cars use stuff from Tyco, American cars get theirs mostly from Delphi and German cars are a total mystery to me.

Untill it's done, free bump for C. Ludwig.

delphi is a spinoff of GM. just like visteon is a spinoff from ford.

i haven't spent much time looking at euro cars, but bosch is a prime suspect. i did spend a little time looking up E30 parts, and BMW actually does list all the connectors separate, so maybe they are available. 80's BMW's use 2-3-4-5- and 6 pin versions of the square connector, in both male AND female...

can you fit a FD TPS on a Cosmo TB? Then I can use a FD Connector kit. I think tps connector I got with Haltech is for FD

Im looking for a new connector for my 20B as my connector is not very good.
