20B into an FC?

Geez, turn your back and new sections pop up!

I figure this would be a good time to drop my page.

Enjoy!

thats a mean looking pulley setup
Reminds me of the 3" pulleys they use on blowers for muscle cars, now those things certainly make people think twice when looking in the engine bay

Just so this place doesn't get bombarded with emails, I emailed them asking for a price. I'll post it when I get a return email

Yep, I got word from them about a week ago. Glad someone reminded me This is the email

"hi nick
we do carry a gilmer drive kit for early & late 13b motors at a cost of $295+gst incl the belt but we do not carry a 20b version but we could custom make it for you for about the same price.

regards john clements"

I sent him an email back asking if that was US dollars or Aussie money and added a few questions about the 20b kit. I haven't heard anything back from them. I'm assuming that that is Oz money, which would make the kit f'n cheap over here!!!

I've been trying to get ahold of these people for 3 weeks or so now... no word from them yet... if anyone has any contact info other than what is in this thread, please post it...

Paul, if you are reading this, where did you get your Gilmer setup, and if you know, what diameter and tooth configuration (part numbers if you have them) did you purchase?

Thanks,
Nick

Now, most of you guys are from the Land of the Free, the home of the detroit deisel engine. where do most superchargers come from? off these engines. Now for the apparently hard part. What do most V8 guys use to drive their superchargers????
A bloody Gilmer drive. Now, it is bloody likely that someone in the US makes these, i am positive here in NZ isn't the only place to have them custom made. Look through some V8 mags, get a phone and ring someone that sells them and see if they could make on e to suit your engine.
Otherwise you can try
www.pacperformanmce.com.au
www.mazfix.com
www.dysonrotary.com

Or, if enough people are interested, and willing to front up the coin before hand, I can see what it will cost me to have some 20B kits made using 2" belts. I know I can get 13B ones made by a very reputable engineer here in NZ, so they should be able to make 20B ones as well. There is also Al's Blower Drives who set up the blower on our RX-7, he makes gilmer drives as well.
Will get prices ASAP.

Obviously, the thing is that I dont know the wheel diameter, tooth count, belt length and ******* lot more things that you need to know...

Plus, I heard that the one thats on that picture up at the top of the thread doesn't even work, it was just put on for show and the belt would snap if it was to turn over.

I'd rather buy a 20b kit, not jerry rig some crap from summit... unless someone knows the EXACT measurements and tooth counts, I dont want to waste my money being the guinea pig.

The guy here in NZ make a 20B kit, but I need to change the design of the appearance to have them made for myself as they are made for another dealer.
I need to have at least 6 kits made to make it worth while though. Will be about $550NZ, same with 13B kits
