20b in FD - Hood Clearance, Etc.
Hello,
I was wondering, if I were to put the stock 20b as low as it could go without moving the rack or changing cradles, how to high is it for the stock hood?
I have a scoot hood and was wondering how much more clearance, this would provide.
Are there any simple mods to gain more clearance without, cutting the intake runners and shortening?
I had another idea of modifying the oil pan and basically creating a cutout to allow the motor to go lower. I know that others have done this. If this is done, is the limit with the pan or the stock subframe and the motor mounts?
If none of these work, then what does everybody think of the Hinson 20b subframe and the bump-steer correction kit?
I'm really trying to determine if the subcradle is my better option.
Also, if I were to go with a supra tranny, how does this affect the shifter positioning. Another method of gaining clearance for the rack is to move the motor back and this would affect the shifter.
Sorry for all of the questions. I have read so much on these forums; though, can't seem to find all of the info that I would like.
Thanks!

Conversion
the best and safe way to do it is to get a 20b conversion crossmember and you can still run the factory hood. That is how I had it but then changes to the scoot hood better cooling
