20b ecu?
What is the best ECU for a 20B turbo?
As objective as possible off course.
Considering:
- single turbo (medium)
- easy connectivity (laptop, other components such as EGT, WBL,...)
- ease of use/adjustments
- possible need of support from factory
- connectivity with engine sensors (with OEM sensors or do you need new ones)
- Cost vs quality
- etc

+1 for the Haltech PS2K. The folks at Haltech are continually improving how it works and their support is excellent, even after the warranty is expired. The I/O Expander 12 is a very clever piece of hardware that expands the PS2K's functions with more inputs & outputs using the Canbus connector on the ECU. For tuning, it is done over USB and works well. The actual hardware has a Linux driver floating around on the net, so it is possible to make a Linux version of ECU Manager if Haltech wanted to. Otherwise, it's all Windows.
They have lots of sensor profile already available upon installation of the ECU Manager software, including the FC & FD's sensors, or you can calibrate your own to work. I'm using the 20B TPS Sensor, a LS2 Corvette Coolant Temp Sensor, FC Intake Air Temp Sensor and a FC O2 Sensor right now. Gonna upgrade to a wideband in the spring.
As for price, any standalone that can handle a 20B correctly is going to be ~$2000 or more. Mine was $1750 3 years ago.
If it wasn't for my PS2K and the ECU Manager's digital tachometer, I wouldn't have known how slow my starter was cranking at before the first startup. Very happy with it.
