A 20B corvair?
Ok I know some of you may not know what a chevy corvair is but To me it is one of the coolest cars in the country (and thats a little biest because I own one) but I also love Rx-7's and rotary engines mostly the 20B I have learned alot off of this forum and I think that I will drop a 20B into the back of my 'vair and get that mother moving. hell the 140 Hp 'vairs were relitivly fast because of their light weight and I am going to drop a 20B in the back seat of the car like they do in the crown V8 conversions that they do. just Imagine a 20B sitting where that V8 is now and I know the tranny and that trans axel will hold they used a lot of the same parts in them as the Lt1 corvettes ( that means they can easily hold up to 600hp) and I am not going to do any major mods on the engine either just a cold air intake and a custom exhaust. any suggestions are welcome on the matter. now I have been debating on running the turbos stock, runnning them side by side, or going N/A now don't even ask me about if there is enough space because if they can fit a 350 small block in there a 20B should fit.

I love Corvairs as well, though I don't own one. They were Americas answer to the import king of the day- VW Beetle.
I would personally be afraid of all the weight of a V-8 or 20B in a car that was light in the nose anyways. How about a J-spec 280hp Impreza WRX STi 2.0l flat four w/ die cast/semi forged aluminum cases. Allot easier to set up the fuel injection/ignition for this as well and would keep the weight low in the car.

Well the when they do the conversions the majority of the weight is shifted to the middle of the car instead of the rear so there is more weight on the front tires so the front breaks don't lock up so easily. yeah the crown kit is kinda a hard one to do because you cut out the rear fire wall to mount the engine in the back seat area. yeah something I also didn't mention I also going to use a air/water after-cooler(intercooler) from vortech because of all the tubeing that I would have to do with an air/air. that should decrease turbo lag and increase power.
