You have the info right there a greddy t78 is a t66 BASICLY...
look at the sizing specs... and it is not a magic wheel in there.
t66's max at about 550 hp (crank/ at the fly)
in a 20b it will spool about a 1/3 faster (expect that with any turbo at a given PSI) than a 13b PROVIDED THE PORTS ARE THE SAME and the manifolds have been engineered somewhat the same. check that rotaryheads.com site and see how some of the 13b's spool compared to 20bs but keep in mind porting and tuning and... such. You should see 13b's spool at 6000rpm with turbos that 20b's are spooling at 4k ish.

also look at what the turbos are maxing at. Your not going to be the first to make these turbos hit 700hp where others only can make 500.

BSFC - this is why the rotary engine doesn't make the same power as a piston engine given turbo airflow numbers.

Red-Rx7 did; however the air flow efficiency of his ported engine was so high that it put the turbo so far out of it's efficiency range that he had to replace it after a couple thousand miles.

Mecha Goriza the company that built my 20b in Japan.
Have a conversion on cosmo's and are known for getting over 600rwhp at 1.4 bar boost and they use a td07s 25g turbo. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe this turbo has the same hotside as a t78 but a smaller compressor, or it's the otherway around i.e same compressor as a t78 but bigger hotside.

 

Yep! I think the 14 psi was valid. I can easily see that turbo having a hard time keeping up the boost pressure given how well Acosta ported that engine. That engine was ported to handle 1000hp through the side ports. I mean damn, he made 14psi with a 1.32 hotside at 2,800 rpm.

Yep, a T78 is a TD-07 hotside with a T88 compressor section.
It's the same as the T67 - TD-06 hot side with a TD-07 compressor section.

It is very reliable. The "Average" was based from the Microtech data logs. The boost gauge itself read 14 psi. Yet, through the datalogs you could see it flux a little, and thus the boost average was "13.6".

 

There really isn't that much of a difference between hp and ps. My car was dyno'd with the ps @ 587ps.

Hey Destin, I think you got that backwards.
PS is typically more versus equivalent HP.
1hp = 1.01387ps; 1ps = 0.98632hp
