First car:
1992 Ranger STX
3.0 V6
5 speed
extended cab
6' box
Strawberry Red
Learned how to drive on this truck. Still have it, but dont' drive it much. DD is a 1994 Mercury Villager. I have an '82 Base. Didn't care whether I got a good deal or not on it (payed 1k for it w/ full RB exhaust, MSD Coils, RB Holley, etc. etc.) . I have since found rust and am (trying) to save for a full, completely insane resto/mod (if you wanna see my likely mod list, check out my "widebody poll" thread).

Beef a 1500 estate, nobody else on here even would know what that English Morris would be, still run those elbow shocks on her?
Mine was a 67 Holden HR with 186 triple carb straight six and three on the floor, it was fast for 1979 though.
Wish I could see pics of that car Paul Fitz built.

I bought my 85 GS with a rebuilt motor and 168k on the chassy for $500, guy selling it wawnted $1,700 and I just went up and asked if he would take 5 for it and the next week I bought it.
Since I bought it all I have NEEDED to do to it was replace leading/trailing ignigthor, fuel pump Brakes, and oil pan gasket, thing has run like a charm ever since I owned it.

My first car (18 years ago) was a 1978 Rx3 SP, with the entire appearance package. Should have never gotten rid of it. Paid $1500 for it.
My second car (17 years ago) was a 1973 Rx2. Should have never gotten rid of it.
My first rx7 (15 years ago) was a 1979 Improved Touring race car that I put back on the street. Eventually converted it back for race and ran it a number of years. Should have never gotten rid of it.
I counted a few months ago and have had 5 rx3's, 3 rx2's and 15+ rx7's over the years. Now I have 2 first gens and a Repu.

Cheap and Luckey
I paid $67 for my 84gs. It had a new engine, exhaust, and seats. So far to date I have spent about $250 and it runs great as the engine only has about 4,000 miles on it.

1974 Datsun 610 Station wagon $25 and $300 to rebuild the engine and get a new clutch. It never did run right... carb problems galore, either it was to the pin or idleing nothing much in btw, chopped the roof and drove it aroung with no license and the such, then sold it for $25 to my friend, then it saw the crusher.
I bought my first rx-7 last year about a month ago, then another one a month or so later, and then one this year at about the same time as i got my first one. the second one is gone to the grave. I still have two of em and i dont plan on getting rid of them any time soon either.

Showing my age here, but what the heck! First ride was a '54 Olds Super 88 with 5 broken pistons, 3 burned exhaust valves (smoked like an sob), a bashed in passenger door, and oxydized turquoise and white two tone paint. Dad picked it up for $60, but said it could be fixed (a mechanic all his life). First and only engine I ever tore down and put back together (way simpler back then). Replaced the door and had it painted "Marina Blue" (anyone of the older generation might remember that color). The car did me well through college and part way through the Air Force. My sister ended up blowing the engine up and that was that.
The very first "new" car I ever bought was my '82 GSL which I still have and am in the process of sprucing up.
