Yoohoo belt or dual pulley?

Yoohoo belt or dual pulley?
Anybody have any experience with the relative advantages/disadvantages of each?
Here are some posts that I found that danced around the subject:

In this one FBDrifter reports that yoohoo belts can slip at high rpm.

Is putting on the double alternator pulley really the best way to go and why?
Thanks
Ray

I wear the yoohoo belt, no problems here. I havent had any high slippage, But then again I have only had it on for about 300 miles. Only thing that worries me is the tightness of it when I first put it on, I was skeptical about the water pump bearings. No issues

If this is in reference to running a different type of belt because you are eliminating the Air pump.
It's not quantitiy, it's quality of belt that prevents any problems from occuring.
I have never run anything besides a quality stock replacement belt when I have removed the Air pump and have never had one slip or break.
If you do decide to go the dual pulley route you need to make sure that you get matched belts. Meaning that they have a cut code on them that ensures that they are the exact lenght.

I was just going to ask that. I don't have cats anymore but am still running the airpump because I didn't want any belts to slip, but I replaced all the belts when I pulled that cats off with quality ones. So it's safe to just remove the air pump and still run just the single alt belt from what you're saying?

+1^^^^^^^^^on the duel belts. Always buy them at the same time, from the same place. Usually eliminates the chance of getting two that are not exactly the same. Ray, I've run both setups, but on my turbo Fb I just feel safer with the duel alt pulley. If you want to do the short belt trick, it will work on a stock engine just fine.

That's what I just stated.
Bad83. It's not a matter of just buying them at the same place or time. You have to request a set of matched belts. The parts guy or yourself have to look at the cut code that is on the outside of the belt to ensure this. If the code does not match then they are not matched.

i had a dual pully on my last SE and everything was fine, that is after i worked the other cooling issues out.
on a side note not to highjack but i noticed that some of the older volvo's have dual alt pullys should these fit fine?

So we now have three set ups to compare:
1. Just use a single belt, as Doc suggests
2. Yoohoo belt
3. Dual alternator pulley with dual alternator belt
And I'm still wondering which would be best. Clearly Doc's solution is the easiest one, but I worry about belt slippage on the water pump pulley since there isn't much belt contact after you remove the air pump belt. Since almost all my driving is for prolonged (1 hr+) highway trips at 70-80 mph, I worry about the pump not turning under load. (I actually had it set up this way for a while but was having some heating and other problems that were probably not caused by the single belt, but I put the air pump back in just to be sure).
The Yoohoo belt provides really good belt drive to the water pump pulley and should work fine, but when I see posts like this one I wonder if this "yoohoo" solution really is good for long term heavy driving:

It doesn't seem that dual belts would provide as good belt drive as the yoohoo belt because contact with the water pump pulley is not as great for that second belt as with the yoohoo, but it would double the grip of Doc's single belt, so if Doc is right, then this should be plenty of insurance.
Finally, on an aesthetic note, I kind of like the looks of a dual belt set up, just looks cool. I bought one of those Mitsubishi dual alternator pulleys, I think I'll put it in and see what happens.
Thanks for the perspectives!
