Do either X or Y pipes work on rotary's, or would they hurt performance??

X and Y pipes are for banked motors ie: v6's, v8's...etc. those pipes are there to equalize the exhaust pressure to produce an equalized amount of power on either cylinder bank, they wont work on rotary. why would anyway? its all about a bridge-port with an open(no cat, just header) side exit exhaust
