Would you sell your 7?

Would you sell your 7?
I can honestly say no after some guy offered me 2,500 for my 85 GSL. I kinda lucked into mine but I wouldn't want to have to search for another first gen in good condition.

Some I will and do, Some I do not. I have a 79 that is mine and I plan to keep, unless one that I like better comes along. My wife has an 83LE and is keeping it. Others I buy and sale.
Where in NC are you?

I'm living in Greensboro right now but I'm looking for a place in High Point. Before I would've said I'd sell it for the right price...but then I found out just how hard they are to find. But if I had a a 2nd or 3rd gen I would probably sell it seeing as they're not incredibly hard to find.

Well while at work with my friend who also drives a red rx7, somebody came in and offered I believe it was like 6-8 grand for the red porsche inthe parking lot. After laughing a bit my friend decided no, he has had the car for most of his life, his dad owning beofre him. He told his dad about this and his dad said if it was him that got the offer, he would have been walking home. I guess some people just won't let go of what they love.

No. I couldn't replace it at the price I could get for it, and it's been amazingly trouble-free for the three years I've owned it, needing only tires, a tranny mount, and catalytic converter in all that time. I doubt I'd be so lucky with my next one.

My 84 GSL-SE, yes I'd sell it, or trade it...for an FC in any condition.
My 84 GS, hell no. I'm always saying I wish I'd of never bought it, because now I'm stuck with it for the rest of forever. No way in hell I'd ever part with it.

The supercharger is on my 85. I would sell that, not because I don't like it, but because it isn't that special to me. Unlike the '79...it IS special to me and I don't plan on ever selling it. Other than the rear taillight lens, louvers, stereo, tires and wheels, it's original...it even has all the original hoses! I did replace the belts and brakes a couple of years ago...

I get an offer to buy my car nearly every week. But what would I replace it with?
I seriously looked at buyinging a new Porsche Boxster S at Xmas. Having test driven one I came to the conclusion it had nothing over my 85 RX-7, while the cost of depreciation, insurance and services at $15,000 a year was a bit more than I am currently paying. My RX-7 had a slighly better performance than the Porsche, but was marginally down on cornering due to the large stock 265 40 tires on the opposition.
The critical thing was driving the Porsche, and a BMW I also tried, was smooth and comfortable, it did not feel like driving a sports car. The RX-7 felt more alive and directly responsive. I would never sell it.
