Would vents on header panel serve a purpose
I was drawing a rx7 and then i wandered what some vents on a first gen header panel would look like? Do you guys think they would ever serve a purpose. I think if you did them right they would look kinda cool. God bless (sorry its a little hard to see)

if they were done right they could let more air into the area in front of the radiator.
nice sketch.
look at nose panels on 90-96 300zx cars. Im guessing thats where you got the idea for your sketch from. looks just like a stillen nose panel.

acutally looking at your sketch. if you did it just like that.
it would enterair between the hood and the that upper radiator panel that keeps air from going over it..
it looks sharp though

it would definatly ram a little more air on the radiator, my custom airdam is gapped between the bumper and header panel "mariah style" lol, and ive noticed my temp gauge has dropped a tad from what it normally is

I've been thinking about doing something similiar, but with 3 rows of 3 slots. Which would fit between the braces behind the header panel. I want to get rid of the behive and thought that might be the best place to mount an FC oil cooler. That would leave plenty of space below the cooler, for a front mount, if I ever decide to go turbo with the bridgeport.

I read somewhere that having them too far down, like how you've positioned them, there would be more of a vaccum created. Thus, sucking air out of the bay/radiator area then blowing in. I swear I read this somewhere on the forums over the past couple of years..but who knows. My brain jumbles everythign together.

Nice sketch.I like seeing stuff like that.I did a similar thing with my header panel, except simpler.

The oil cooler is back there in the slat and the radiator is behind it.I ran for a while without the extra material removed and oil temps got a little too warm for my tastes. With the slat cut in the header panel it gets plenty of air now.The lower duct in the last photo leads to the radiator and routes cold air around the intercooler.
My cooling needs are pretty extreme. For looks, your idea is sharp. For functionality, its not really needed.Theres plenty of open space leading to the stock radiator.I ran for years without the body kit and front mount intercooler, and my turbo engine's oil/water temps never got too hot. After the front mount, airflow to the other heat exchangers was greatly comprimised, hence my upgrades.
