I found a set of 8mm wires that were supposed to go on another car i had that i sold and i was wondering if those would make a difference at all.

In general and in theory, yes. Discernable by feel or ear, maybe not. However, the resistance of the wire is the key, that and the shielding. I general, the bigger the internal carrier wire, the less resistance/better spark you get. The thicker/better shielding, the "cleaner" it is. In a nutshell, a bigger better shielded has no down side.

measure the resistance, and go with the lower OHM/FT set

so basically i may not notice a difference but my car will appreciate it. works for me. I eventually wanna get 10mm wires but dont have the extra cash right now.

put your meter on the ohm setting, touch the black lead to one end of thr wire, the red to the other. Look at reading. Do that to a wire from each set, use the set with the lowest number.

After putting the 8mm wires on my engine does seem happier but on some of the wires if I touch the wire near the rubber boot it shocks the **** outta me. Is this a bad sign? Can fix this some how?

I've been shocked by the wires too. Is that normal? If I inhale fuel fumes and scrunch enough to create compression, will I ignite and run well by holding onto the wire?

Yeah the car was running and I was just checking to make sure they were on nice and tight and well... Zap. Does the fact that I didn't stop after the first one zapped the crap outta me mean anything?

LMFAO! Electricity takes the path of least resistance, it's not uncommon to get zapped if the car IS running. The fact that you did it more than once just means you can be a retard like most of us. LOL That or you have a fetish for electric shock treatments.

Were they pre-cut wires or did you cut and fit them yourself? If they are pre-cut then I would have them sent back, Ive never had a set of wires ever shock me once when trying to adjust them with them ON the sparkplug already, now accidentally pulling them off is a whole nothing story If you cut them yourself then make sure the carbon center is not pinched between the boot and the insulator and is pointed up the boot towards the spark plug itself.
