would a Dellorto DHLA-50 be too much for a 12a?

For an unmodified engine it's too large. A good street port will just begin to take advantage of a 45. I know there are guys on here that could use a 50, though. Any idea where the 50 came from or if others are available? I don't need one, but might before too long.

Hello,

I can use a 50 dellorto dhla for my new 12a J-bridgeport.

Rumor was the 50 dellorto didn't exist, but I did see one at the racetrack.

Where can the rest of us buy one? I got a TON of dellorto jets and can get some more HP out of a 50 and don't want to switch to Weber and all my dellorto jets go to waste.

Might possibly be a 48 Dell bored out to 50 mm. I thought about doing that with my street-ported engine, but I figured it wouldn't help unless a had a bridgeport.
