FD-less was the guy's nickname.

Welp, I appreciate the effort guys, but you failed me

Out of the 300 miles we needed it to run it made.....(drum roll)....6.

We got down there, got the belts changed that needed changing (broke an airpump bolt in the process though). Battery was dead. We were about to go buy a new battery for it when one last push start attempt worked. We were excited. Pull out, we are going to go get gas for it and my car when after about 4 miles the guy driving it radios up with "I just lost my tach." Figured probably trailing, nothing looks bad, idles ok, we try to get it to the gas station. Then it starts losing power on hills and everything. Got it to the gas station thinking maybe it's out of gas. Filled it up and it died while fueling. Spent 2 hours with it making sure we had fuel in the carb, checking different things, trying to jump start it, push start it, ATF, everything. Nothing. Had to call the guy's father to rent a trailer and come get it with his truck. (I wanted to tow it in the first place, according to Carfax the thing has run 700 miles in the last 2 years). Oh well. Just dissappointing.

I just got some ignitors from the junk yard the other day if you need one or two. J-109s. They didnt know what they were so they let me have them for free. That was sure nice of them since I had two I took to the counter and 4 more in my pockets . I guess technically I didnt steal them if they were free, right?

It's looking like this car is nothing but bad news. The guys towing it back home hit a deer on the interstate. They were in a big Ram, so nobody hurt, but the truck took some decent damage. I think I better go move my FD it's parked next to.
