Wiring Loom And Battery Cable Management

Anyone got a FB / 12A with all the original rats nest and carb in place and with really tidy wiring loom, battery cables and spark leads? Care to share some detailed pics? Looking for examples of stock wiring and how it's wrestled into something that at least looks under control, particularly drivers side of engine. I pulled all the wiring clips and mounts when I rebuilt the engine, and the mess got worse when I removed the steering box last week for a rack and pinion conversion. Would love to get the wiring to a state where its not embarrassing. Thanks!

Pics like that just make me want to cry. Maybe I Can get even half way close when I get my wish to cash out my SF Bay Area existence, move to the mid west with a barn to work in, and have a loooong winter to kill.

Thought I was the only one that used a Land O Lakes lid to keep crap out of the open carb.

Mazdaverx... Very pretty indeed. Were you the owner that sourced new graphics for the top of the air filter box, with all the Japanese carefully checked? I seem to recall this from when I was doing early research a year or so ago. If so, is that avenue of sourcing graphics still available?

Thank you! I was unfortunately not the person that sourced the new graphics for the air cleaner. I wish I knew a source for them and a paint code for the air cleaner housing as well. I'd love to disassemble and sandblast the ones that I have on the shelf and restore them for future restorations.

There used to be a guy on here that sold replacement vinyl decals for the air cleaner. He was out of country and I haven't saw him in a number of years. DD did a nice write up on how he silk screened his:

The body of the air cleaner is Impulse Blue, Mazda code AY.

Thank you for the info Banzai! That will be very helpful when I need to restore an air cleaner housing. I have several that I've been hanging onto for just that purpose!
