Wiring ?

Hey everyone,

I have a 85 GSL and was working on gluing the shift boot back on and noticed there is some wiring in that area with a large connector on it. What is this for? I figure it is for cars with auto transmissions.

Any help is appreciated.

Just make sure you DO NOT connect those connectors under the shift boot though...

I will not be connecting them. What are they for anyways? There is a large connector and then there are 2 smaller connectors. One of the smaller ones has a male end on it and the other has a female end.

Remember that the stock stereo also has cables in that area, and there is provisions for a fade control between the hand-brake and the shifter.

The audio connectors are round.
