wire colors fast help plz
hey guys i have a 1985 gsl and i have blue/red and blue/orange wires going to the existing rear speakers. i wanted to know which one is neg and positive. i could find anything color coated when i searched.

IMO you'd be better off running fresh wires.24yr old speaker wire isn't gonna do your new speakers justice. Try downloading the FSM bro its a lifesaver!!! Goodluck with your project...

I may put some kind of small sub an amp in later but right now just need to change out stock so I can use mp3 player.

if you have the old speakers handy take a AA battery and two pieces of wire and touch a wire from the positive and negative ends of the battery to the terminals on the old speaker. if the cone of the speaker moves out you have the positive on the positive. if the cone moves in you have it reversed. you can look to see witch colored wire plugged in on the positive side of the speaker.
