Wiper blade alignment.

Wiper blade alignment.
Loooooong time lurker here, havent ever needed to post much on the account of every time i have a problem the search function finds me an answer,
but not this time.
So my wiper blades seized, i removed them and the motor cleaned it popped it back in, they work like new....well except no matter where i place the blades it refuses to go back to normal resting position. when driving with them off the blade now sits directly in the center of my line of sight, when i adjust the arms to sit lower and turn them on the blade swings too low and goes off the bottom of my windshield. Getting tempted to remove them all together as having a blade in the middle of my view while driving is a headache but thought maybe i missed something? was i supposed to melt down a piston to the rotor gods?
Just realized admins might want this in new member tech, if so could someone move it.

I recall that in order to remove the wiper motor/transmission as a unit, one needed to park the blades in the full "up" position to be able to remove it. That is, stop the wiper when the arms have reached the max swing up the glass AWAY from the Park position.
So. presuming that was done to remove the unit initially, on install, with OUT the arms attached, power up the wipers and switch them "Off" so that they park in the correct position, THEN attach the arms..

Assuming 12 oclock is vertical for the wiper and 3 oclock is parked I have an issue where the wiper blades park themselves at about 2 when i turn them off then when I turn them on again they continue down to 3 before going up to 12.
Any ideas?
TIA

It's a good idea to mark where the links couple with the motor before disassembling. That way you know which way up is. and it makes it much easier to position them when you put everything back together.
Probably too late now, but...yeah. Next time!
lol I'll pipe down now. Good luck!

I'm not sure they have been disassembled or at least I haven't disassembled them. I just fixed the wiper cluster (S5) the other day and now this is my new problem with them. I'll try the adjustment and see what happens I was just worried that because it continues down if I adjust it that the wiper would try going into the engine bay lol
