lol ^ i tried posting my stuff a few pages back. I guess I could try making it useful by asking what do you guys use for winter tires? those of you who drive in the winter that is.

^ my choice of winter tires are good ol' bridgestone bt70's or some **** like that. they were on my 83 GS when i bought it and since purchasing the 82 S i replaced the crappy woosung tires with the same bridgestones. they do really well for daily driving here in northern CA even in wet conditions....but man a rear sway bar and wet roads.....

**** if I had known you wanted some,I would have filled the back of my truck up with the white stuff just for you,Wacky!
Just spent the last 4 days at my Pop's place up in Alturus, wheelin' the Samurai. The last night we were there the temperature was 5........pretty f-ing cold by my standards. It barely got above freezing during the day,but it was damn beautiful outside.
Got back, upacked, and headed for Tahoe the next morning for the skishop venders day at Sugarbowl.Cant go wrong there.....almost no one on the slopes, free day passes, free demos,$25 lift tickets for the rest of the season and live band/drinks afterwards....fun time....Ive seen enough snow for a while though!

I LOOOOVE the Blizzak WS-50s on my Golf. It makes driving on ice feel like driving on dirt... there's a ton of grip available.
I have some WS-15s for the RX-7, but they are not new and so suck, kinda.

the circulatory heater is the best heater you can use because it actualy warms the whole engine and heater core because its pumping warm coolant throughout your engine block. if you get a powerfull enough one it will have the block at or near op temp the moment you start it. (given the heater's plugged in long enough)
edit another nice thing to have is a battery blanket. i'v had batery's last over 10 years with one of those on it and every year it hits below -40c

save yourself the trobble of doing that and put a circulating/tank heater in. it hooks into your coolant line. plug that baby in for a few hours before starting and you'll have a warm engine and heater working the moment you start it. its what im putting in mine and what my father has in his jetta TDI the windows on the jetta are slightly defrosted when you go to start the car if the heater is left on defrost overnight.
