Thats actually a damn good quesiton!
Do you need a motor? Its not going to be this week- but I could probably get my hands on one-

just wd40 the hell out of the motor and hook it up to a battery to try clean it up a bit then wd40 everything esle and see if that dont fix it. it sounds like its binding try losenign the bolt on the wiper. or just use the miracle of rainx

the bushings closest to the wipers are corroded, remove the windshield wiper assemebly, disconnect the motor, use liquid wrench/pb blaster/wd 40 on the bushings, move them back and forth until both rotate freely.

well im gunna try my best to fix it, i will remove the whole thing, and take it to my barn and start from, there the joints bushings, and whatever else moves on it, because it would be nice to not have to stay in when it rains out lol if i cant fix it, does anyone have a used motor for cheap, or is it possible to interchange them with sumthing else other then a 7.

Let me know if you need a motor. I have a spare in excellent condition.
Linkage only problem is the bushings getting brittle and cracking. Found out recently how to take care of that problem by cutting down similar bushing and epoxying (very carefully) to the linkage, then greasing, etc. Tight as hell and prolly stronger that stock new.

LOL A pack of them from Autozone in the HELP (motormite industries) section for Nissan Maxima or Altima or whatever. Same diameter but a little too long. Used NAPA 2 part 5 minute epoxy. This works wonderfully.
I also saw where the dealer still carries the short and long brackets for the FB headlight lifts. Each has the exact same bushing on each end as our windshield bushings. But I believe my fix will outlast new bushings.
