Window tinting

I'm getting my back and the two side windows tinting on my 7 tomorrow.. was wondering if i should go for the just the darkening of the windows or get my windows tinted with a metallic look.. so that it reflects more?

Metallic tint will last longer and not turn purple after time......Also do your driver and passenger windows as well......It is well worth it.............and when you have to replace your windwhield........Tint that before it goes back on.......It works great at night.........All the high end cars are doing that now.....

Yeah, tinting your front side windows (in the RX-7's case the only side windows), and the front windshield is illegal anywhere in Canada, and I'm pretty sure is also illegal in CA over 5% tint or something like that. It's also illegal to tint your reaer windows if you don't have a passenger side mirror on your car (if you car came stock with two side mirrors. If it only ever came with one like my Hon-duh, you don't need both). Might want to check your tinting laws before you tint Some cops can be real ********.

I was going to ask the same question. The tinting on my car has purpled a LOT, so I'll take jimselsa's advice and go with a more metallic look. It'll go great with my black 7.

Hmm... I got my side windows done.. it couldn't be as dark as the back, but it was perfectly legal. I'm in Washington State

Depends what kind of tint you get. I got mine professionally installed by an associate who often boasted about the high quality of the tint he used. I went with dark, not limo, as I wanted to be able to see out of the rear glass at night. I've had the tint for over a year now and no sign of purpling. Of course, black tint on a black car looks gooooood.

You can tint as dark as you want. My dad and brother have limo and I will too. There is a form on the internet that you can print. Bring it to your doctor and have him sign it. It says that you are sensitive to prolonged lght exposure. If you get told something by the cops, whip out the sheet and valuh! Limo tint works great because it keeps alot of the sunlight out, but it is kinda hard to see out the windows if it is pitch black.

The pic is my dad's car it it's "ready-to-race" mode. Excuse the dirt.

The website is my bro's car. http://www.cardomain.com/member_pag...?page_id=295473

The "edit" button is your friend

but nice car.. I have a silver GS... Tint is the last thing on my mind right now as it needs many repairs, but I do think the metallic one would look good on you
