Will These Seats Fit??

Will These Seats Fit??
Hey guys,
I'm really close to buying this set of seats but I am wondering if the seat backs are going to be too wide. I found them on e-bay and they are one heck of a deal but I don't know if they'll fit or not. They are the APC seats, and i'm just looking for something cheap to replace my broken down stock seats. I know everyone thinks they're rice, but I'm not too concerned with that.. lol. I'm tall (6'3") so I keep the seats back all the way and reclined into the storage compartments as far as possible. Does anyone on here have a set of these seats, and if so how do they fit? If not, has anyone been able to fit a seat with similar dimensions into their seven? Please help out with any info you might have. THANKS!!

have you tried using a tape measure and those dimensions and then measuring the car to see if it will fit ? ... I doubt anyone else will do that for you (someone might be kind enough I suppose)

well here are mine..and then touch the center consol AND the door (without door panels) inless there in JUST the right spot then they dont touch.
i DEFENTLY like the new seats better. and even my bro agrees that they hug better then his WRX seats.
Brad
P.S. i can get pics of the adapters i made to get the seats in if anyone wants to see...the passenger will have you cursing for a LONG and i mean LONG time.

Hey I finally got some interested people in here! Alright! Maybe now I can get this figured out and get a set on the way to my door. Rx7anator, I love yours they look great. Are they APC? Who has e-bay seats and is planning to keep a full interior? I've had trouble finding seats that will clear the door panels, as I'll be keeping the full stock interior once I get my car painted and put back together.

i BELIEVE that the 79 and 80 door panels didnt have that lower part (the arm rest and the cubby thing? if so..quick swap to those (and im looking for some at the moment too) but i have a crappy door panel i made on there just using the handle part...no the rest of the arm rest.
and since yall seem interested...i MIGHT pull the seats and get pics of the mounts because i wished someone would have done that for me when i was asking but no one did.
RULE NUMBER 1....do NOT NOT NOT NOT throw away you orginal seat rails...i did. if i hadnt i coulda had my seats on in 20 minutes prolly

Sure, 2nd gen seats fit if you swap the rails. I hear 3rd gen seat are similar.

I have been thinking about making fiberglass door panels which would just cover the holes in the door, and not jut out at all...would you guys with out door panels be interested?

I have second Gen seats in my first gen; just use the first gen rails. I pulled my center console and haven't missed it. It only seem to collect junk, anyway.
btw, I'd definitely be interested in simple and smooth fiberglass door panels.

Oddly enough the last FD I saw was all busted up in the scrap yard. Next to a FORMERLY bad-*** 300ZX TT. I always wondered if the two were related...
