I would be wary of replacing fenders and door skins with fiberglass. Neither is very heavy stock and some of the glass ones are heavier than stock, by the time you get them installed.

A fiberglass hood with dzus, no hinges or latch, would be a better option.

Remove the dash and all of the climate control components, however there are times you may need the defroster or at least a fan for the windshield and a sweaty driver.

Strip every uneeded wire or harness out. You can even get rid of the ecu and engine harness if you know how to wire around what you need to get the car to run.

I've done 2 cars. One weighed in about 37, the other about 30.

Pele, IIRC according to the SA22C list, Miata pumpkins were aluminum. They also said they were bolt in after you grind off the mount bushing. Have I been misled?

Yup. I just went outside and stuck a fridge magnet to the housing.
