widest tire on stock gslse rims (rear only)
#2
Stock SE rims 215's would be the largest I would go. Even that is pushing it.
Aftermarket rims I have seen 245's without flares or widebody.
Go to the wheels and tires section an do a search. Information is available.

You can go pretty wide back there, but youll hit a problem.
Most people worry about fender rolling, rubbing the fender,ect,ect...
Often, they forget about the inside fender well, the body material that makes up the arches inside the interior.Since our cars have a solid rear axle, when the tire hits a bump,it travels up in an arc as the axle "see-saws".If both tires hit the same bump at the same time(speedbump) its not a problem since the entire axle will travel up in a straight line.
I have 245's out back with a mild widebody and 10MM spacers. They are about as far out as they can be without hitting the fender lip. When I go up my driveway diagonally, one rear tire will compress and one will droop. The tire that compresses will rub the inner fender wall every time. Its not that bad since its light contact on smooth metal, but I definately cant go any wider.
Widest I got out back without the widebody were some 205/50-15's and I had to roll the fender lips after swapping in a GSL-SE rearend. They were very close to the outer lip and they didnt hit the inner wall either. 215's might have been possible, but I would have had to use different offset wheels or go back to the narrower GSL axle/brakes to avoid rolled fender lip contact.
