Why Dont You Guys Wave!?!?!?

Ok, Ive been crousing around in my 85 GSL lately, and in Woodinville, I have passed one red, and one light blue RX-7. Both times I passed the cars, I stuck my arm ELBOWS LENGTH out the window and waved, and what did I get? Nothing. But, the one acception was a dark grey GSL-SE that actually passed me while I was in my friends driveway and honked. I was leaving then too, so I jetted down the street and followed it down the road a ways until it turned. It was pretty sweet looking, sounded good too. Do any of you in here live in Woodinville, and if so, what color is your car?

I drive a dark grey GSL-SE.. that might've been me. Kudos to you for doing the "full arm" wave.. that's what I try to do, too!.. some drivers wave back, some just give a little wave, some act like I'm not even there. The latter ones deserve a middle-finger salute, in my opinion.. just kidding!.. not.

A hearty wave is great!.. as brownmound says, "Right on!"

Ha! In West Virginia EVERYONE waves, whether you drive a Ford, Chevy, or an '87 RX7 TII!!!! It annoys the hell out of me. I wave at my friends, and other RX7s.

I seen a guy in a white FC the other day, I was driving my vert and he waved I bout fell over. Then he chased me down to look at my car and chat... Most time I wave and they dont even know that I did...

The ones I really love is when you see a girl with her name on a plate on the front of the car. You pull up next to her and say 'name on the plate' Carry on a conversation like you know her, and shes busy trying to figure out who you are LOL I LOVE IT

If I saw someone sticking their whole arm out to wave, I'd toss a soda at you...you're nuts.... It's hands on the wheel, raise your fingers on right hand if your going to practice old driving habits correctly...you don't get to make your own variation of it...

Very true. Just like the motorcycle rider wave, extend left arm and index or index and middle fingers on the left hand. Can't change tradition.

In abilene there are so few Rx-7's around that when I see one not driven by one of my freinds I am so shocked I forget to wave. I saw three first gens driving down the road in one day! Shocked the hell out of me.

Hey GenRex, do you have aftermarket rims and tires? These were really wide, like 4-5 inches outside the fender, but they actually looked decent. I didnt see the rims though. And why would you be in Woodinville anyway, theres nothing out here .

Thumbs up Sorry Dude I can't roll down my Windows.

Hey I saw you yesterday 3 times I think. Once when I was turning off of 171st. onto 140th when I was going to Shucks Auto, a second time when I was going back 171st to 165th and turned on some road (171st-174th Ave NE) that cuts over to Woodinville Duval Rd (saw you standing there talking and I went beep beep beep), and a third time when I was riding in my neighbors truck past the Texaco going towards 522. You and your girlfriend were probably laughing at my Gangsta mobile huh!?!

Anyways I couldn't roll down my windows to wave, and my sun roof is not big enough to stick my hand out the back. heh. My car is gutted, and i don't have the power windows hooked back up yet. Oh and those rims were my new Diamond Racing Wheels (13x8) with 4" backspacing. They do stick out, but that's the rim size all the 1st Gens use for auto-x. I was out driving around heat cycling them new Kumhos I got (V700's). I couldn't corner too hard because I broke my sway bar end link on one side in the front.

So do you live at that house I saw you at? I live near Cottage lake where you saw me turn off. I was wanting you to follow me, that's why I put my blinker on way way early.

We should check out each others 7's someday. Do you auto-x yours?

Later,

-Derek

ps. I think i am going to add a wink switch in my car, so when my headlights are up, i can flick a switch, and just the driver side light will go down and back up. *wink wink*

Here is my car before I put on the small 13x8 racing wheels that stick out just a little. This is what it looks like most of the time when i'm cruzing around Woodinville.
