where do I install the pressure regulator???

I have a stock 12A setup, absolutely factory stock.
I am installing a fuel pressure regulator and a fuel pressure gauge. Where do I put these, I mean do I install them before the carb or after the carb on the return line. Let me know
thanx

before the carb. you might wanna upgrade the stock pump if you're going to be putting those on, I think the stock pump is already preset.

yea, if you're running the stock pump a regulator is a waste of money and time, get a pump as well, and install both at the same time. And it goes before the carb, most mount it on the firewall somewhere.

Actually, both need to be as close to the carburetor as is practically possible...

Well the stock pump is not preset, it peaks at about 7psi. there is a stock regulator inline from the factory tho, it's that small metal thing inline of the carb under the hood. Anyway I failed to mention why I was putting the regulator and pressure gauge in, I have a Holley blue fuel pump I am going to use as well as larger diameter steel fuel lines, the ones that run under the car. I just wanted to put all this junk on to play with the stock carb a little before I put on the weber I have, if I ever find a 12a intake manifold for it at a decent price that is. By the way, if anyone has a weber 12a intake manifold at a decent price PM me, lol
thanx

yea you're right, that little metal thing on the return line right off the carb is what regulates pressure, but if using an aftermarket reg make sure to put it on the feed line right near the carb.

I have mine less than a foot from the carb. Orginally I had it about two foot and I noticed that the car ran better when I moved it closer.
