Question Wheels for first gens.

After reading the poll over wheel sizes and all, I was hoping to garner more definitive information. If I were to put 15" rims on my car, what would be the maximum width, and the offset required. What would be the best size tire to mount on these. Also, Looking at MIM Wheels webpage, I can't discern offset or bolt patterns for their tires. do they do custom fit, or is there something I am missing?

Hey, thank you all!
Chris

The only company in North America that distributes MIM's as an aftermarket part is Discount Tire, and they don't have any rims for non-SE models.

The only place online that I know of is that sells non-SE rims is The Tire Rack

They sell rims that will fit your car, and will also show you tires that fit.

oh yeah, 205 is the widest you can go (at least in the front) without rubbing. so with a 15... 205 40 15's ~ 205 50 15's

You can fit 215's on the back no prob, and I think 225's should fit as well.

Sorry took so long to get back. Was outta town. I got the wheels at Group A wheels. I think the site is www.groupawheels.com.
The color is Intense Blue Pearl.
What part of Ky are you from. I am originally from that area. Will be back up that way in Dec.

Thats a sweet car, viperx7.

As far as wheels I have 205/50R15 on American Racing carreras. The SE pattern helps alot.
I did get a slight rubbing in the front drivers side. But i think the suspension on that corner is screwed up. I was looking underneath and the little pan for airflow is missing. That must have been one hell of pot hole.

Anyway, looking into getting 16's for next year, 205/45R16 front and 225/40R16 back.(i think those are the ones with the same height)

Hey RotoHead, I'm selling these:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cg...item=597092981

..but they would definitely require the wide body kit I have for the rear wheels.
