Okay, sorry, probably repost to the 1000th power.
I've been here for a long time (new account, old one went wacky), and I know not to repost **** like this, BUT.

I'm looking at some Rota Slipstreams, and i'm not sure if the offset is right, is there a way to correct that with spacers or something?

And what size should I get, like width without having to modify anything?

EDIT: They are availbable in 15's with +35/+40 offset and +40/+45/+48 on the 16s

well do you have a gsl-se, or non -se

the -se's have a +35 offset, meaning that those rota's would work better on the =se than the non=se

i personally like a more negative offset wheel that sticks out a little more.....but if i was gunna go with a higher offset wheel, i would definately grab up a 16" and put a 205/40/16 tire on there, since it will be overall, very close to a 205/50/15, but with a smaller sidewall, and bigger rim.....once you go 17", you are in a whole new ballpark, and your car will sit higher, and need more lowering which can cause problems with a bigger rim (rubbing)

i would say that the standard 16" +40 offset wheel would work fine on a gsl-se which i assume your car is, if not then yeah, you will need spacers....IF you do that, then the spacers will proabably be 1" thick, which would throw the rim out there a little more, closer to the gsl=se offset, since the gsl (or non=se) offset is +15

****, sorry, completely forgot that,I It is an SE. Okay, so 40+ offset? I also kind of like the wheel to stick out a little bit, but not from the top of the fenderwell, you know what I mean?

Thanks for the help, I really appreciate it. I may be picking up the slipstreams then. What width would you reccomend? There's 6 and 7.5, If they fit, I may get the 7.5s in the read and 6s up front.

a +40 offset is gonna rub on your suspension... it will sit too far inside the fenderwell. Stock offset is I believe +38, but the wheel is only a 6 inch wide wheel. If you are going 16x7 I would go less offset, maybe +35 or +30.

Okay, thanks. Anyone else who has 16" wheels, what offset and width are they?

Sorry for the double post, but it wouldn't let me edit.

If I was go get 16x6.5s, anyone think a +40 offset would work? Or a 15x7 with a +35 offset?

EDIT : And what tire size would work with either of them. Sorry for all my noobish questions, I just don't know much about wheels and tires.

205/40 for the 16" and 205/50 for the 15".

I checked tire rack, but I didn't see anything to check for offsets. I may still go with like a 38 or something, just to be completely safe.
