wheel spacer dot com ADVISORY NOTICE

Just a note, I just ordered a set OF FOUR hub-centric flat spacers from Fred at www.wheelspacers.com. You submit your order online and he calls you quickly. At first it was $160 shipped. I paid right away with Pay-pal at his insistence although he explained I was covering their fees also. Then 10 minutes later he calls back and says that he just noticed that I had wrote "set of 4". He says that $160 was just for 2 and that he needed another $130 for another 2 for a grand total of $290 shipped. I went ahead and paid it because I was up against a deadline on this project and tired of dealing with it but I feel screwed. His original Email response to me clearly says "hub centric flat spacers $40 each".

Rotary friends beware, get it straight before he has to "call you back".

Fred was very up front with me, and that's exactly what I paid for a set of four - $290. Must have been a simple misunderstanding...

Just to be clear I'm not labeling him as a thief or anything of that sort. Just that whatever happened I feed screwed and everyone who uses him needs to be careful about this point.

Oh and thanks for letting know that's the normal price Dan. Now I can relax a bit knowing it was just a misunderstanding. Fred seemed like a good ol' guy but I spent the day wondering about the deal and it was unpleasent. I do wish his pricing was more specific though.

I will report on the fit and quality in a few days, post some cool wheel pics on a SE also.

How do "$40 each", "$160 for two", and "$290 for all four" line up?

It's the new math! Actually, there is $30 shipping included in that. Mine were $65 each, so...$65 * 4 = $260 + $30 shipping = $290. If you were getting two it would be $65 * 2 = $130 + $30 shipping = $160.
