The mazda ones are Grade 8, the ones shown in that pic at most are grade 5........there is your price difference.

I was goin to say that Mazdatrix sold them for a $1 something.........but I checked the site.

WHEEL STUDS for 79-85 (12A) are part number 04-7902-0000
These "screw-in" studs are 2 and 1/4" long, with approximately 1 3/4" available for wheel bolting, with the correct 12x1.50 thread. They are needed when using various after-market wheels, or replacing the stock lug nuts that have integral studs. We do not supply nuts to fit them, as there are far too many styles needed to fit all the different wheels.

but they are $3.83 ..... a lil salty

I did modify a set of rotors, and axles......but I had access to a bridgeport mill, and it worked great, but then the rims I got had a larger center bore, and at high speed I had a shimmy I could not get rid of. I ended up having to make special spacers to go in the rim, and over the center hub on the rotor/axle.

Sad thing is, anytime you have to replace a brake rotor.....guess what, you have to get it drilled.

As far as the GSL-SE swap, I shyed away from that, its a special car, and only made few in comparison to all the 4 on 110 cars.......so brake parts are easier to get for them.

My current car has the wheel studs from Mazdatrix......but I didn't pay that much for them.

and I don't think anyone answered one of his original qustions......so the bolt pattern is 4 on 110 mm, I forget what the center bore is.....

How do you know the Mazda ones are grade 8? How do you know those in the pic are grade 5? I'll admit I don't know much about the grading system, but I had the idea that 8 was hardened - and I know my studs are not hardened.

Ok ..How can you tell this stud I showed is a grade 5 and the ones you got are grade 8?LOL..

There are no markings,I dont make this product or push to sell 1 specif brand or from who,

Yeah if you payed almost $4. a stud I would ask you if they gave you a bottle of vasaline with that, and I would also try to make it sound like the more expensive one is better. We have rn these studs on my friends RX2 for 5 yrs..and not had a problem,

Its up to whom ever if they wanted to spend $3.83 from Mazdatrix...and im preety sure it willbe the same grade or get them from me for $1.50 each

BTW he never asked the bolt pattern ..he asked the thread pattern ..which does me mean thread pitch?12x1.5 mm..thats what I got on these studs..

Not bad..Good price

you will need 12x1.5 mm
It depends on the style rim you got to determin the style lug nuts

Acorn
short/long shank mag
etc

I have 3 full sets of Gorilla lock tuner lugs with the key
They are 12x1.5mm
The blueset has 16 lugs
The chrome set has 20 lugs

They both have the key,
I cant find my other chrome set right now.

These are brand new never been mounted.
I want $10. for each set and you pay shipping,Which shouldnt be no more than 5-8.$ if that.
Im in Tampa FL..
This is just more spare stuff I got that I dont need.

Besides markings........you can tell by the color of the metal, or the way they treat them......

grade 5 and lower usually have a zinc coating....

grade 8 is usually a dark color, kinda brown......cause they heat treat them.

price tells sometimes..... but thats not a good way to tell.....
