Wheel Bearings
Fellow owners of 1st generation 7's
Have any of you had problem with after market rear wheel bearings, collars and seals?
I purchased after market and found that the collar was not machined properly and allowed the seals to leak...thus having to tear it apart again.

I have replaced quite a few wheel bearings over the years. I have never had problems with them. I usually would just get them from Advance Auto, not sure what brand.
The important parts are to make sure the race is seated evenly, bearing is well packed, and the seal seated all the way. When you say "collar", do you mean the race? If so, then yes, the race has to be machined damn near perfect for proper fitment and operation.
