What's going on here?

Well, here's the stats on my car. Full racing beat exhaust, webber 45dcoe carb, Direct fire ignition, holley red fuel pump. On my 85 GSL.

As anyone knows, the holley fuel pump is pretty loud, expetially if you remove the sound dampening thick black mats under the carpet. Needless to say you can hear my fuel pump just humming away. Well, i noticed when i turn my turn signal on...my fuel pump pulsates (high, low, high, low) My dash lights also flicker. This is when i have my radio on as well...so my guess is I'm drawing a good bit of power. So here's the question, does my alternater need replaced? Also i've heard of the FC alt. working in our FB's. What all goes in that? Does it mount on the stock mount, and does the wiring connector need to be rewired? Thanks guys!

thats normal, dont worry about it.. the sound your hearing is a voltage drop(its only for a split second) .. the voltage regulator takes a second or two to react in a voltage fluctuation situation

I've run bigger wire and a relay and it made absolutely no difference...

and no matter how long my turnsignal is on it still pulseates. Is my voltage regulator broken?

Don't worry about it. I have a '66 stang that does the same thing with the holley blue fuel pump. I can't stand it, but it's normal.

CHEAPEST ROUTE: Just forego the turn signal altogether. Roll your windows down and give arm signals.

Make sure you keep your hand EMPTY, though. You don't want to be starting any gang wars or make anybody think you're a drive-by.

well its annoying. I have an air fuel gague that reads leaner just from turning on the heater. or when the windshield wipers come on. anything electrical makes the thing look like its running leaner than it actually is. would a 90amp alt cure this?
