could you tell me what is the average horsepower for a 12a and 13b
i have a 85 gs 12a

The 1985 gs 12a had 100 bhp@6000rpm with105il-ft@4000rpm of torque

The 12a motor was in a range of other vehicles with 90-120 hp and 96-105 ft.lbs totque. There was a RX-7 turbo version of the 12a sold only in Japan which had 160-165 bhp @6500 rpm depending on the turbo model with 166 lbft@4000.

The 13a motor in its original NA form had an ouput of 110-135 bhp and 117-113ft.lbs depending on the vehicle. It was in the 1984 RX-7 GSL-SE with 135hp@6000rpm and 133ft-lbs@2750.

When this motor was used in the Gen 2 cars it was improved in 1986 to 146hp@6500 and 138@3500 of torque. The engine was further improved and in 1989 it was capable of 160@7000 and 140@4000 of torque.

A single turbo was added to the 13b. In the 1997 Turbo II it produced
182h@ 6500 and 183lb.ft of torque. The motor was further improved in 1989 and provided 200hp@6500 with 196lb.ft@3500 of torque.

In the Gen 3 RX-7 a twin turbo system was introduced which gave 255hp@6500 and 217lb.ft@5000

There were a number of special models such as the Anfini which had slightly different engine performances.
