I'm not lucky enough to own an RX-7, but my friend Fariba wants me to sell her RX-7 bra pictured in the next post below.

I'm wondering if any knowledgeable member can give me some guidance as to what years this bra would fit.
Under each headlight flap, there is a 8" wide slot for the directional signals, and then to the side, at the same level, a 3" opening for side markers.
I'll post more pics if necessary.

My guess is 1979-1985. Thanks in advance.

The RX-7 logo and headlight flaps looks like a 1st gen, that would be my guess, but I don't know that much..

 

if it does turn out to be a 1st gen, ill buy it

 

I am pretty sure it is first gen, too, since it is very similar to the one pictured on eB@y item #7905476726, which was for a 1982 model.

But before I put if up for sale, I wanted to know what other years I should list on the item description, since I am not sure what changes in the lighting configuration, if any, took place over the span of 1st gen.

 

I am with pratch. It looks like it is for '81-'85 models. The '79-'80 models had a more square front bumper with the turn signals on the front of the bumper instead of being wraped aound the corners of the bumper as in the '81-'85 models.

 

I am pretty sure that is correct 81-85. I had a bra just like that with my 83. It was stollen the first night I put it on. Just some info. I believe that bra was made in Germany, and only for 3 years so I'd keep it. Those were $300.00 Canadian.
That is if it is the same one, if it has a thick white fuzz inside and just uses bendable clips to stay on the car that is the one.

 

Yes, that's it. There is quite a bit of white felt on the other side, as you can see below. Also some velcro tabs, but no clips that I can see (or they may have been removed). I appreciate everyone's help!

 

I have both styles, that one is the plastic bumper '81 -'85...Pratch wins the bet and the girl...

 

FYI- I finally put the bra up for sale on ebay- it is item number 7911819302, ending on Wed, July 28th. I had to move some images around, so the pics I posted earlier in this thead no longer work, but the same pics (and more) can be found in the auction description.
