what type of fittings to use with a mallory 4309

I have a SE thats carbed with a weber 45dcoe. I used some brass nipple fittings from home depot but they leak on the fuel in and return side pretty bad which causes PSI fluctuation. So i am just wondering what some of you guys are using on you FPR specifically mallory 4309. If they are A/N then what size and P/N would be great.

Should i go with a 3/8 to 6a/n or 3/8 to 8 a/n on return and pressure and feed to carb or........... not real sure. I would have to flare the fuel lines to accomodate the an tubing or i guess i could just slip it over and use a hose clamp but IMO thats cheesy.

I use brass NPT fittings with barbed ends and teflon tape or teflon thread paste. AN fittings will not seal.
