What is my GSL-SE worth??
I've got a 1985 Mazda Rx7 Gsl-Se. It was originaly white. It has been repainted red, There is absolutely no rust, Oklahoma car. Has metal sunroof painted same color as car. Has the 13b engine. Interior has been changed a little. Missing radio, i think needs new clutch it sometimes wouldnt disenguage and its like messed up now.. the engine runs good has like 170k on chassis but motor has been kept tuned and had stuff replaced. the door jambs are still white. original wheels. this thing is amazing on the outside interior needs cleaned a little. here are some pics... has clear and clean oklahoma title... what do you think its worth??? ide like to sell and wanna know what to ask since clutch may need replaced? i dont know it just wouldnt disenguage every now and then and now its like messed up...

As for the original question, it will be difficult to sell as an non-runner other than as a parts car. Most buyers at the bottom end of the market are students who want something cheap to get to college, and can not risk buying a car they can't try first as repairs can be expensive. May be you would be better off fixing it first and getting a better price.

In the local auto trader here some moron is trying to sell his for 1500 with no comp on rear rotor. I would recommend that you do fix it, it will increase the price quite a bit.

Before I bought my 85 GSL-SE I checked the Old Car Buyers guide and it said $9,000 for a #1 GSL-SE...
I think most of us buy them at a much better value, but we still must all realize these are special cars that will become great classic's (If taken care of)

Check your clutch hydraulics. If it's trouble getting into gear, that's probably all it is and a cheap fix. It's hard to sell a car that's not functioning. I'm always amazed when someone sells what looks like a good car with some minor problem that keeps it from running and cuts the price in half.
