what is the most crazy thing you have done in your rx-7
ok i want to know what is the most crazzist thing you have done in your guys cars. the thing i did in my 1979 rust bucket that i would never do again is go up a hill at 130mph get airborn at the top and come slammin down having my driver seat fall through the floor and bust my front left spring and have my rusty old muffler fall off. Will Never Happen Again!!!!!!

I don't know that I've done anything 'crazy' per-se in my RX-7, certainly not on the street. I do thend to overdrive the car on the Solo II course when I'm trying too hard to catch a time or a competitor that's *almost* within my grasp. There is a lightly modded AE86 Coupe that has beaten me in the last three events by a few tenths of a second, we have a friendly rivalry going on right now, we're so close in cars and driving skills that we both have to really drive hard to compete with each other.
It's really helped my driving actually. I have to be really disciplined to match his times, and I will have to be disciplined to beat him.
BUT BEAT HIM I WILL!!!!!!!!!!!
But back to the topic at hand, I usually don't drive dangerously on the street, certainly not at or around 100 MPH. Sometimes I'll see how fast I can take an on-ramp before the tires break lose, but that's really about it.
I guess I'm getting responsible in my old age.

Whats even better is when you have a perfect drifting corner on ramp. Well what else do you think i do middle of the day and go drifting, go on highway come back and do it again, and repeat till you run out of gas cause you will never be happy with your drift. There is no such thing as a perfect drift Maybe freakin awesome but not perfect.

Craziest thing I've done... Gone to fast on an Interstate on Ramp when it was wet and end up doing a complete 360.
Ended up on the side of a hill with my engine dead...
Started it back up, and drove home like nothing happened... But wanting to do it again for the fun of it!

I was doing about 55 around a long sweeping 360 degree on ramp. As I got to the top, my 8 year old tires broke loose. I began a mostly controlled drift. I knew that I could have let off, and straightened out if I wanted too. Where the on ramp and the lane came together, instead of the normal gore area, there was a slight drop off down to the lane. I had previous thought that this was a simple dirt bank. This day I discovered that some a-hole decided to put a curb in the middle of it. As I allowed myself to drift off the slight embankment, and into the lane, My drivers side suddenly jump up into the air, my car slams back down onto the curb (I now have a nice scrape running the length of my car pretty much in line with the fuel pump) and then the passanger tires come over and hop the curb as well. I land in the lane with a little fishtailing, and a whole lot of adrenaline. I did this over a year ago and my car appears to have suffered no serious damage.
Best part: I did this while I had a friend in the car. I was showing off for him because he'd been trying to impress people with the power/coolness of his mom's new Accord that whole afternoon. So I was taking him for a ride. Neither of us said anything for about a minute after it happened. Then I asked him what he thought, aside from the incident. He said actually the incident was kinda cool. He said that it really impressed him because he knew that his mom's Honda probably would have been seriously messed up by something like that, but my car just shrugged it off.

I do all of the above.. including fishtailing for 6blocks in winter with no hands on the steering wheel.. just by being GOOD with the gas and the lsd, can get you fishtailing HARD without correcting .. of course no one was around.. I havent ran from the cops in it either, or shot guns out of it, or jumped it.. I can't say the same for my old 71 Datsun 510 or my sled.
edit: I've never been in an accident, short of nudgeing a car wit my 510 that would have missed had it been a 1/8" away.. so yeah.. no accidents.. just a LOT of fun .
Shitty weather is like the ultimate ****** challenge.. I dunno why but it makes me ballsy and I do crazy fun ****

when i first got my car and i was stupid and ignorant of the tailhappyness of the stock suspension on an fb, i was driving on a curvy downhill dirt road in the rain with trees on both sides and a 20 foot drop off and a creek on one side. i decided i would have a little fun so every curve i gave it a little extra gas and did a little drifting around the corners. when i got to the bottom of coarse i was retarded and had to go around and do it again. the second time i was cocky and went faster, i went around the sharpest turn, pulled a nice drift but over compensated and couldnt get control again in the wet dirt road. i fishtailed back and forth a couple times then i went side ways slide off the road and was stopped by a tree on my driver side. this was off coarse the side with the drop off on it so my car was at a 45 degree angle in the mud so there was no way i was gonna get it out, it wouldnt start i was seized for some reason, after the AAA guy pulled it out it cranked but wouldnt start (flooded probly from being tilted) so i cranked it a few more times and it fired up and i went to a car wash to survey the damage and take the branches and leaves off my car. suprisingly the only damage was one smashed headlight, put a new one it and it was fine

I haven't done anything crazy....Yet.
I'm mostly driving like a grandpa just because I'm still saving for proper tires. I still got my snow tires on the car. Don't want to do any burnouts with those on.

a week or so again i was screwing around on some roads in the rain...
took a tight S-turn with WAY too much speed and rotated the car 180(still traveling at a good clip...only BACKWARDS)
i plowed across a golf course there were muddy tires marks across one of the sidewalks, and i tore up some grass...no harm to the car though! (had to pull some grass out from between the bead of the tire and the rim)

Yeah, when I get my BFG Radial T/A's on my car, its going to be a whole new experience, since I will be able to really push the car. The most I have spun the snow tires is the shift from 1st to 2nd when accelerating HARD. They don't make even the slightest squeel though. Not as much fun, but the do throw you REAL good.

Craziest? Well, it was in my 1st 7 but had nothing to do with driving:
May, 1991. Parking lot at Spanish Banks (beach) in Vancouver.
Me and my girlfriend were in the car screwing each other's brains out.
"So what?", you ask.
It was 4 o'clock on a Saturday afternoon and the beach was packed. I don't think anybody knew what we were up to, but then again maybe they were politely ignoring us...
