Should I switch to the glass kind? Or a Purolator part number that cross references the Fram G12?

Is there that big of a difference in fuel filters? Generic ones are cheap enough that you could stick a new one on every oil change if you were so inclined...

i just run the generic one from autozone. i donot think that there is that much of a difference between types.
the only really advantage, that i can see, from a clear one would be that you can see how dirty it is.

Exactly...it even fit the factory stock retaining clips like it was meant to be there...

Pump??? This is about filters. Did you mean to say filter or is that really a pump?

My retaning clips hold the filter vertically... Is that photo sideways?

Looks good though. I wouldnt want the fuel hose hanging down if that photo IS sideways. Catch it on something while drifting or rallying and dump your fuel ALL over.. BOOM!

I didn't get to the administrator fast enough! Yes, I meant filter...that's the way it sits now, sideways. It's behind the fuel pump skid plate just like the factory filter, so no worries, mate!

I just realized. Series 1 cars had a different filter than Series 2 and 3 cars.

So, too, does the Forum Photo Gallery that has my car shown as an '85. It's an '80 with the front clip of an '82 stuck up front. I like the later front end but not the flat back end, so now I've got just the right mutant to enjoy...

very cool. it is all about having a my rx7 to get what you want.

i have a 79 body with an 80 interior, 80 tranny and drive sharf, 78 rx4 engine...

when i used to have an 80, i had an 81 rear end..

the differences sometimes make it interesting in remembering what year of aftermarket parts to get, but ohwell....
