my car's production run date on the inside of the driver's door is something like 05/78 ...

Mine has both mirrors, (I don't know if that's stock... PAUL?), the passenger's side prop rod, is a GS, and a 5-speed tranny.. again, I'm assuming stock in a GS).

And yes, I agree, the stupid prop rod on the passenger's side is annoying...

But, there's an '80 at the wrecker's here with the prop rod on the passenger's side... perhaps it's a '79, and they just didn't look at the date, and took the DSPO's word?
