Lightbulb What front offset wheels for Turbo2 brakes on the FB?

My future plan is to install Turbo2 brakes on the FB, getting the Respeed adapter kits and redrilled rear axle. I have a question for the offset/width for wheels cause I am not sure what's "flush" on the FB body since it isn't the same with FC's. I know the rear will probably be the same but how about the front? The rear SHOULD be the same as the ones on there now, right?

I must suck using the search or something cause I can't find a thing for the past 45 mins.

Thanks!

I have some Work Equips I got from pandagarage.com. They are a little beat up, but I got a great price on them. The fronts are about perfect for the respeed fronts, and will be better after i get the respeed coil overs installed. They are 16x7 +24(i think). I am not toosure about the offset. i am running 205/40 and them and it fits just in between the springs and the fenders. The fenders have been rolled, but not a lot. After i get the respeed coil overs installed i can run fatter tires, if i so choose.

size and offset always depend on how you want your stance to look.

AWS140, since you have the Respeed FC conversion, whats the backspacing clearance between the hub face and the coils? around 4.5 inches or more?

Do you have a picture of the caliper clearance on the 16s because I plan on running 15's...

^^its dependent on your rotor size. what size rotors you going to run? they typically suggest 3" from rotor to wheel size.

12" rotor 15" wheel minimum

I am still not sure. I will keep that 12" rotor in mind. I wanna stick with 15's. Judging from the above pics, looks like I can run 15x8 +15 without problem.

I am running 17x8 in front with a 22mm offset PLUS a 3mm spacer so it is a total offset of 19mm. Fenders have been rolled....

I am planning on going back to a 16x7/16x8 combo in the near future since I put those 17's on my 3rd Gen.

Thanks for posting. Any reason why you need the 3mm spacer? Is it because it was too close to the strut or...?

It's probably because you're running the bigger 17". If it's the same offset on 15" then it should be ok.

typically however when you run a 15 or 16 your run a taller tire. You'll run into the same issue if you dont have arounda 4.5 backspace or less.

I know that but it's still not as tall as 17" with tires on.

I have 17" and 15" wheels, I put them side by side and there's NO way they can be as big even with a 55 profile and the 17" had 40 profile. I have pics.

Here you go.

235/45/17 in the far back.
245/40/17 in the middle.
205/50/15 in the front.

Not to mention the tires on the 15" are really tall compare to mine and my brother's. Same size on same width.

your obviously not getting my point, in no way did i say, your 15 is going to be the same height. i said it depends on your tire, if you have a 15 and decide to run, lets say, a 205/60/15, it'll be just as tall as a 235/45/17.

If you run a lower profile on a 15 yes it can be smaller, but again, all depends on the size of tire you run, which, you proved my point for me with your pictures.

btw, i can also run a 17 the same size as your 205/50/15, 225/35/17 will be very comparable.

I understand your point but you're pointing out tire size that nobody else would run on a FB. Not many (I hope) would run a 205/60/15 tires on a FB.

I will be running on 225/45/15 Toyo R888.

You do but not the majority.

Back on topic -

I think I know what kind of set up I will be running for the FB now. I can always use my rpf1's to test fit for fitment as a reference since it's the same bolt pattern.

just curious if you got those tires installed on your car. I'm looking at doing something similar.
