What exhaust to buy? (Racing beat)
I'm looking for which exhaust to buy for my car, a 1980 RX7 GS. I have swapped in a '91 S5 N/A 13B 6 port. I called racing beat and asked them and the guy told me that I needed system # 16424SP, so I searched the website and they dont list it, unless you remove the "SP" then it comes up as a system for the 84-85 GSL-SE?
I dont know what do you guys think?

i need a whole new exhaust system...
i wanted to know if it is really needed to have anything bigger than a 2.5'' system.
i have an N/A SE and i am planning on going turbo. i havent street ported yet but will in the near future. i've seen some 3'' systems and i wanted to know whats the gain on a 3'' over a 2.5''?
BTW i'll be welding the system myself. i have all the tools, time and knowledge to weld.
thx

alot of the guys here run 3" for turbo and 2.5" for N/A I personally run 2.5" on my N/A 12a, I think it was that the 2.5" is still semi restrive at wide open throttle especially if you run your car up to about 8,000 rpms or so underboost. I have noted a huge improvement with the 2.5" on the top end but you have to also know that it will effect the low end too, it will move your power band slightly higher the bigger you go with the tubing. What type headers are you planning on going with? I always recommend the SDJ, they can be custom made to your specs (ie, dual/single outlet, short/long primaries, connecting pipe diameter, with/without O2 bung i usually recommend with it for tuning sake later on... ect) This is the link to my SDJ header and as you will see quality is pretty darn good

I have received a couple of messages concerning how to buy these, They were on ebay before but I don't see them there anymore, I'm unsure of his website if anyright now, but his last phone number that I used earlier this year was 1-803-646-1840 His name is Jon. Besides that I'm not sure.

I still put faith in RB, but except for headers I'd be making my own. I did make my own in fact and used a system that some one else on here pioneered. I used two Borla straight through mufflers and a RB presilencer, sounds great.
